Welcome Madison!

It's been pretty crazy around here for the last year or so. Libby went off to school and I have been reluctant to replace her. Being the entrepreneur I am, I figured I could do it all myself. My new addition, Chase, comes and hangs out every morning till 12 which makes it tough to get things done. However, I became my own boss so I could have that time to spend. As a result, the studio has suffered. The timeline for getting prints delivered more than tripled, I just got in over my head. It didn't take me very long to realize how much I had taken for granted the help I had, but, I am stubborn and refuse to give up. I sincerely thank each and every one of you that stuck with me, and on occasion called me out and asked "what the hell? this isn't like you"

So, I would like to introduce Madison! She is the new go-to girl at the studio, she is responsible for keeping me in line and making sure that everything is done on time and delivered promptly. Most importantly, she is here to make sure that you have everything you need and have a great experience. My main principle at the studio was to make sure everybody had an amazing experience, and now we are working to make it even better.

In true Sam Harnack Studios fashion, you get thrown into the fire when you first start here. Sink or swim. So, in order to get Madison up to speed on some of the things we have coming up, I took her to a lighting workshop put on buy the Bui Brothers. I went to help out, she was there to model :) I wanted her to experience what it felt like to be in front of the camera to better relate to our clients. One camera wasn't good enough though, she had to get in front of 15... at the same time! buahahahaha

She came out a winner! Here is Madison, taken by Rosaura Sandoval.

They even roped me into modeling...

Thank you Rosaura!

Happy Birthday Chase!

It seems like it has been a lifetime since you were born. Maybe it is just the lifetime of learning you have shared with me. You have given me feelings that I never knew existed. I remember the your first night home, sleeping on my chest, the first time you smiled, the first time you giggled, when you started crawling, and your first little steps. Each and every stage you have gone through, I remember thinking you could not get any cuter. Then you prove me wrong.

In your one little year you have changed so many lives, and I can see in your eyes that you have many more to change. It seems as if you already have life figured out. You start each and every day with a smile. If somebody tells you that you can't do something, you do it anyways, with a smile. If you can't figure something out, you keep trying. You dance and make sure everybody is watching. When you fall, you get back up and try again.

Don't stop learning, don't stop teaching, and most important don't stop proving everybody wrong.

I am proud of you Chase.

I love you.

Post-It Notes

So anybody who knows me, or has seen my desk, knows I have a
fascination with Post-It Notes. Its out of control! Chase has been
helping me out lately at the studio and apparently... he has the same
fascination.

The Harnack Boys

So, Sunday, Chase came to the studio and helped me out a little bit. The idea was to get some work done and to clean up a little, but, I do believe we made more of a mess. It was also the prefect excuse to take some pictures since he's 7 months old today!

Group Shot

So Chris, Lee and I were in Sac this weekend shooting one of our ambassadors for the class of 2010. We had a little impromptu photosession, check it out. I think we should start a band.
